Batman Year One: Preview

Where DC has kinda missed the mark in the super hero movie genre compared to their direct competition Marvel, they have however cornered the market and kicked Marvel’s ass in the direct to DVD Animated Movies.  Dating back to the early 90’s Mask of the Phantasm which still holds up to latest entries Green Lantern: Emerald Knights and Batman: Under the Red Hood.  The latest and maybe one of the most anticipated releases is their adaptation of Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One.  This one also boosts a really good cast of voice talent including Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”), Ben McKenzie (“Southland,” “The O.C.”), Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”).Three-time Emmy Award winner Cranston gives voice to young Jim Gordon, while McKenzie makes his animated voiceover debut as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Dushku and Sackhoff fill the roles of Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Detective Sarah Essen, respectively. Alex Rocco  This is the first sneak preview of Batman: Year One.
